Based on the video description this was shot in the service bay of the dealer. Video was uploaded in February 2008 and says that the truck is less than a year old so likely a 2007 Ram 2500 or 3500.

Wow.

It's got TX plates, so based on that and the condition it's highly likely the truck belongs to an early 20s guy that works in the oilfield. The damages I see are that he cut the muffler off, and ran over a fence and into a lake. Also, looks like some wiring got caught on something.

I've done some odd stuff before (hose clamp around my brake line to keep it from rubbing on my sway bar) but nothing this crazy.

The last I want is for my car to end up on a YouTube video from a shop that says "look what this genius did" (though in my defense there is no aftermarket for my car... In fact I am the aftermarket )

Confirmed, these oil/gas drillers give no fucks. We're getting a lot of them up here now due to the Marcellus Shale drilling.

What usually happens is they hire these guys in their 20's who have done unskilled labor all their lives and pay them cash money- these guys go from making $20k to $80k overnight. First thing they buy is a new truck, and since they're making what seems like unlimited money to them they just don't care because they think they can just buy another. They promptly set to destroying it, usually by general lack of care plus getting drunk and offroading it.

I'm surprised this truck had most of its emissions equipment still intact. Usually they cut off the DPF and all related equipment plus install a chip on it. The second a factory tech sees this the truck is blacklisted from warranty repairs forever, even if it gets returned to stock. Which it won't, because these idiots cause about $6-8000 damage (at dealership parts/labor cost) just by hacking it up. Diesel emissions stuff is insanely expensive.

"I will never buy another Dodge! After just 30k miles the suspension makes noises, it overheats, and it lost 100hp."

"Sir your truck is ready, we removed the barb wire fence from underneath, cleaned the radiator fins and replaced the air filter"

I was going to ask if this was a personal truck or a work truck. Although from the bud light in the back, my guess is personal. In which case: unacceptable.
